Tyler is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner working out of the CFS main office in Lincoln. He is a lifelong Nebraskan and has lived in Lincoln since attending UNL. Following a 20-year career in information technology, Tyler joined the financial services industry in 2007 because he wanted to use his numeric and problem-solving skills to help people more directly.  

Tyler built a specialty in Sustainable, Responsible and Impact (SRI) investing upon entering the industry and continues to enhance this offering.  Originally, SRI investments avoided industries or companies with which an investor disagreed based on values, whether those were environmental, social, or faith-based concerns.  Today, SRI seeks to decrease the overall risk of investing by limiting exposure to entities that may suffer reputation and/or financial harm because of their business practices, while directing assets to investment options with positive impacts.

In addition to the CFP® certification and his securities registrations and insurances licenses, he earned his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation to help clients effectively direct their charitable contributions, and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation which covers planning needs beyond the CFP®. 

Tyler and his wife Denise have two grown children and six grandchildren. Both stay active with regional issues surrounding economic development, social justice, and financial and environmental sustainability.  They enjoy travel, culinary experiences, and spending time with their family.
